LEARN MOREABOUT THE LEAGUE
Hello everyone! Kaunas Squash league is a continuous event which you can join any time during the year. It’s free and open to all levels: beginners, advanced and pro players. It’s a mixed league where women and men play on equal terms.
It is something different from the one-off tournaments that are organised throughout the year. These tournaments still exist and are independent from the league.
League starts with 10 Divisions of 5 players. Each player will be placed in a division that will have a similar level – so when you register, please don’t forget to mention any National ranking or SquashLevel rank or any other level justification if you have one. We will aim to place you in a division matching your opponents’ level as best as we can, so it’s a fair game to all.
How does it work?
You will have 4 matches to play each month. We leave it up to you to organise suitable times with your opponents, but we expect everyone to make an effort so that all 4 matches are played before the last day of the month. Each match is played best of five and 11 points.
You are responsible for booking your court yourself and pay the booking fee as usual.
After each match, you simply have to enter the score on this website and the points will be calculated automatically. And so your ranking within the division.
At the end of each month, when all scores are added up, the first two move up to a higher division, the last two to a lower and one stays within the same division.
To give you the right boost of motivation, we are also organising Playoff Intercity Tournaments, where top scorers will face friendly competition with players from other cities.
We haven’t forgotten our younger squash enthusiasts who can now join the Junior league!
